Duties of Board

A board member for Media Messages will help oversee the organization’s operations. They will help move the organizations goals, mission, and vision forward. They will serve as representatives of the organization which includes acting as spokespersons and holding the organization accountable. They will also help provide financial oversight and support. Commitment is a three-year term.

1. Attend at least two out of the three Zoom board meetings annually. (Spring/Summer/Fall)
2. Stay informed, ask questions and request necessary information concerning the organizations well-being.
3. Make raise a minimum contribution yearly of $1000.
4. Assist with organization activities, as much as possible, such as identifying potential podcast guests and topics, participating in the selection of scholarship/internship winners, and notifying the organization if information on the website, Facebook, or other social media accounts is incorrect or problematic.
5. Help to maintain focus on community outreach and engagement by providing leadership, strategic services, and necessary resources.
